YouTuber ChrisDaCow recreated the universe with its planets, stars and galaxies in Minecraft. In a video he explains exactly how he was able to do it.
Who is ChrisDaCow? The YouTuber’s name will be familiar to some Minecraft fans. He is active on the scene and has posted several notable videos of his spectacular builds in the game. These include, for example, Vincent van Gogh’s “Starry Night” painting or the huge medieval castles.
Even though his previous projects were already huge and took him many months of work, ChrisDaCow decided to take it one step further in his latest video. He recreated the universe in Minecraft, albeit a little smaller than it actually is.
“Ok, you’ve completed Minecraft.”
how did he do? The YouTuber’s construction project started (relatively) relatively small, because he initially rebuilt the earth in Minecraft. He used World Edit for this, which forced the planets to be around 700,000 times smaller than the originals, otherwise they wouldn’t have entered the game.
The buildings were still gigantic. For the land alone, ChrisDaCow took 3 days of work to complete it. After that he went to the solar system.
With the individual planets, the rings of Saturn, Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune were the hardest part, but the sun also gave the YouTuber some work. He wanted it to look “like a hot radioactive death”, so he used the brightest colors and recreated the solar flares.
After even the solar system got too small for ChrisDaCow, he started building other cosmic objects. These include, for example, the Pillars of Creation, first photographed by the Hubble Space Telescope in 1995. The YouTuber used the photo as a model for his construction project.
After the pillars were completed, the YouTuber created a black hole designed to resemble the hole from the Interstellar movie. According to his own statement, it was the hardest thing he built in the 9 years he played Minecraft. This was followed by the various galaxies and finally the real universe.
There are these reactions: For its creation, ChrisDaCow was celebrated by the community on social media, reddit and YouTube. His video received over 116,000 positive votes and over 2,600 comments on the Minecraft subreddit and another 26,000 positive votes on r / minecraftbuilds.
In the comments, users were amazed by the size and beauty of the project. Many congratulated him on the completion of the construction and showered him with prizes.
- “Okay, you’ve completed Minecraft. It’s incredibly impressive.” – Druss_Rua
- “If this doesn’t become one of the biggest posts on the subreddit, I’ll be offended. Few people in the world can do what you do. […]“- Filqon
- “It’s really damn impressive. Well done!” – gigagon
Xbox’s official UK Twitter account was also impressed and shared the YouTuber’s video with his followers.
According to ChrisDaCow’s statement, the construction project took about 2 months of continuous work. In the Reddit comments he hasn’t revealed where he will take him after his journey, but it will surely be something just as gigantic.
What do you think of the replica of the ChrisDaCow universe? What were the biggest construction projects you did in Minecraft? Tell us in the comments.
